As I have no social media now, I’ve been looking at LinkedIn recently, oh god it’s so much worse than twitter on the “here’s a fake story for likes” and Facebook for the “ LOOK AT MEEEE”

Something seems rather 'off' about the whole Twitter hack thing - it was a lot of noise for not a lot of gain.

Maybe there was a specific target they needed, and the rest was covering smoke?

A thought. If I started a company tomorrow and I collected PII (with a legit reason) and it got big, then I got hit by a bus. What happens to that data? It’s hosted on some cloud platforms, who then deals with deletion etc?
