@distantmoonlight misread this at first as an audience member who didn’t like musicals. Wife pointed out it was probably meant as a warning against singalongs.
@distantmoonlight Make Trump Kittens Again existed in the last horror show. It may still exist. (Don’t know about for the phone though.)
TFW someone else’s success is wonderful for them but leaves you trapped in a mire of awfulness that you had thought had an end date but now, may not. Ugh.

The utter irony of an official ā€œwatchthefemmesā€ hashtag when they are only broadcasting the last hour and a half of each stage and we’ve gotten used to full stage coverage of the hommes. Also it means coverage does not start until 11.30pm and as I am now old that is just not doable. So frustrating. #couchpeloton #TDFF

The real Barbenheimer crossover would be the story of Kitty Oppenheimer, directed by Greta Gerwig. It has EVERYTHING: Communism, picturesque horseback riding, the Spanish Civil war, a Las Vegas divorce, someone falling overboard in the Atlantic and being so awful that nobody misses them, cheating on her husband and giving zero cares about being seen riding around in J. Robert's convertible.

@clareifications Yes! And sadly I don’t think anyone would let me start late for the whole month of July which is what I need for the TDF hommes et femmes. (And I’d need wife’s work to ALSO start late…)

Huge thanks to the people who supported ALIA’s submission on this - I can’t say much about it (confidential process) but I can say I am happy this important book will remain available in libraries across the country.

It is both awesome and mildly frustrating that two really big events in women’s sport are on at the same time: the Women’s Football (Soccer - sorry, I’m both American and feel the need to differentiate from all the other balls foot) World Cup AND the Tour de France Femmes. At least one of them is actually IN my timezone.
