In the end, the pure numbers are unfortunately not so important, but whether the users who create a lot of content switch. I still see big gaps there. Also, some seem to switch to alternatives like Post. That remains interesting.

The algorithm is sometimes very helpful in discovering things you wouldn't have seen otherwise and thus finding new exciting people. Mastodon should also offer something like this as an option.
