I wrote a short goodbye post on Reddit as we enter the last hours of Apollo. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the support over the years, it’s truly been the journey and dream of a lifetime building this app and meeting so many people. 🥰💙 https://reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/14nb5qs/today_is_apollo_for_reddits_last_day_and_i_just/
Today is Apollo for Reddit's last day, and I just released its last update. 🥹 I just wanted to say a big thank you to the folks who have used and supported Apollo over the years, it's been the dream of a lifetime to build this app over the last 9 years. ❤️ Read the eulogy inside! ❤️

Hey all, With that, Apollo's last update has landed! It includes: - Some fun easter eggs! - Tidies some things up for the closure later...

@GIbiz this thing feels like it's never coming out. Great reporting though
@vees there has to be a better way 🤢
@PHIL_FISH man that's dark

Decided I'm going to go ahead with my Kbin mobile app.

Yeah I know i have a lot on the go, but I use Apollo daily, and want a solid Apollo like experience for Kbin.

I'm willing to hand over the project to Kbin if they want, and would love to work closely with the developer on this if possible.

Will be starting this next week, after my camping trip! It will be open source from the start, and contributors will be gladly welcomed! #kbin

@davesnider that's how I watched it. I was baffled for about the full two hours. I knew it would be weird but I had no idea how weird
@glassbottommeg I heard the Beasties talking about it on their podcast, and I was compelled to watch it. It was surprisingly great and heartfelt
@nahtanoj "it's the children who are wrong"
@esdin any ideas how to get an invite code? I'd like to try it
Twitter learned, and Reddit is fast learning, that people are not addicted to the platform, they’re addicted to the community they found there. Ruin the community, and people will leave the platform. It really is that simple.
