Was able to go for a run for the first time since surgery this morning, so that was good. A gentle two miles. Don’t know if I’ll be able to sustain it through the next few weeks of treatment, but a good sign overall.
Things are better now, though we don’t yet have a handle on exactly what was causing the problem. I really resent that it takes so much work just to keep a free resource online. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Papyri.info is suffering from bot attacks this weekend and will likely be unavailable until we can put more blocking in place. Apologies for the inconvenience but this is the world we live in now.

This is unreal. The 2026 code4lib conference has been cancelled unilaterally by Carnegie Mellon University because the Department of Education raised issues with the diversity scholarships (which have been constant for at least a decade, if not longer):
