I left FB because of this. I left Twitter because of this too. I am not convinced that I want to devote thousands of hours to the fediverse yet, given the trolls.
People picked up those habits on Twitter, and they brought them to the Fediverse, hence why I am anonymous again. I don't want trolls to know my name.

@davidaugust The Fediverse is what the web should be, distributed. The web should never have a single point of failure. It should be like a hydra, but for good, not for bad, like in Greek mythology.

My avatar is not a political statement. I was out for a walk and I saw a broken tree. I thought it looked interesting so I took pictures. I needed an avatar for this "new" account, on this instance that I preferred, so I used it.
I have been playing with Hugo and Pelican, two static website tools. I don't understand why people write threads on Twitter, the Fediverse etc, when a markdown document processed by a website static website generator would do the job better.
Remember that BRexit was anti-European xenophobia, by, among others, non-white brits. That xenophobia is on all directions at once and people are trying to give the impression that it is unidrectional. It is not.

I’ve been thinking about a way to explain to non-Black folx why what has been happening on Bluesky [and has happened here] related to anti-Blackness is not only harmful to us but ALSO a warning for you & the only thing I can come up with is what I’ve ALWAYS said…the path to targeting “others” BEGINS with anti-Blackness
@AlienAnomaly Replace "economy" with "lavishness". Those that are superrich want to pay less taxes, to live more lavishly. I think they should see paying taxes as "lavish" like their dutch precursors did around the mid middle ages and later.
@Hope4All I would tweak this. Poor migrants contribute to the economy. Super-rich migrants diminish it. I am a migrant everywhere I go.
@MozzieBytes I am under the impression that there are more crows at the moment around here. I don't know whether there are or not. In other news I watched two birds dogfight. The attackee managed to break away and survive to dogfight another day.
