Finally, we also got rid of the option to customize which month you want to compare against which.
We liked this idea in the start. But since we are focussing on inflation of this year of Ukraine war and climate crisis, we felt that we should narrow more what people can see and focus their attention on the current changes.

Also, in the inflation project that we are running on the website now for weeks, we have three (formerly four) real people who shared their groceries with us. We first thought it would be cool to load them as a default option for users.
However, again we realized how this would make it harder for users to understand the idea of our calculator, if we give them some random presets. Hence, this is alos not there anymore.

We got rid off colours for products. The reason was that we wanted to only use colours for encoding the rate of inflation. Which is great and clear but also meant an incredible effort for our designer to make 200+ products recognizable without colours.

The result is that we can retrace what these groceries ideally must have cost in January 2022. And we can project what they should cost now. And even say which products are the ones that cause the most inflation.
