In the two months since I last had covid, I've now had the flu, struggled with energy and fatigue, and now apparently have an unspecified cold.

My immune system really doesn't seem to have recovered still, and I hate it.

Just had a clearly positive test result. I was at a team meetup for work on Wednesday. I wore masks for the train rides, only took them off in the office and for dinner. Either I got it from my colleagues, or I was exposed at a place where my colleagues were exposed to it as well…
I think this is the third time I have it. I really wish it wasn't.
Moin #HotB25, bin angekommen, und wie üblich ist es mir erstmal wieder zu viel und ich genieße etwas die Ruhe draußen…
If you saw this post earlier today, don't worry about it. chaos.social had to roll back the database, so the post had disappeared, but I still had a cached version in my client.
I discovered that for me personally recordings of endurance racing are apparently pretty good background noise to keep me focused. I don't need to pay any attention, not a lot happens most of the time, but it's good for providing some stimulus to prevent my mind from wandering to things that would actually distract me. And I can stretch one race over multiple days. 24h of Le Mans is a lot of race, and even the shorter races of WEC at 6h last a while.

The 7artisans 25mm f/1.8 looks pretty good performance wise, but the non-stepped aperture ring seems suboptimal. The TTArtisan equivalent seems a bit soft, but has a stepped ring. Ultimately I'm a little afraid I might end up in a "buy cheap, buy twice" situation.
The idea of a fully manual lens actually really appeals to me, but if I were to go that route, the Voigtländer 35mm APO f/2 looks so much more versatile (but costs more than even the XF ones…).

So… I kind of started getting back into photography.

In doing so, I entered the Fuji X world with an X-T30 II. The kit lens makes acceptable photos, but it's not particularly fun to use.

I think I'm looking at getting a prime, probably between 23mm and 35mm.

Of course the XF 23mm f/2 and the XF35mm f/2 are looking very good, but I'm also considering some cheaper manual lenses. Does anybody I know have personal experience with any of these?
