❓ I have 4 questions to all Fediverse users.

I'd really appreciate a lot of answers and boosts, because this would help me a lot with editing the #JoinFediverseWiki.

If you don't want your answers to be publicly visible you can reply as a PM.

0) Would you describe yourself as a Fediverse user with a technical background or interest?

1) Think back to the time period from when you first heard about the Fediverse (or a part of it, e.g. Mastodon) to when you decided you will stay in the Fediverse.

What were the most important questions you wanted/needed answered? Where there any questions where answers were especially hard to get?

2) Were there any Fediverse-specific technical terms or concepts that you didn't understand at first?

Please name them and tell me, how you would describe them to someone new to the Fediverse if you can. Or tell me alternative terms that you think would be better understandable to such users.

3) What term do you believe people new to the Fediverse would understand best when talking about the different flavors of software running on servers/instances (like Mastodon, Pixelfed, Friendica, Misskey, Lemmy, ...)?

Do you think it should be a term also used for other social medias like Instagram and TikTok, or a different term, because it's a different concept (e.g "platform" - is the Fediverse a platform, is Mastodon a platform, is an individual instance a platform or are all or neither of them platforms?)?

4) Now that you (probably) are a regular Fediverse user, what kind of info about the Fediverse or related to it do you need/like to be able to look up quickly?
Is there already a place to look it up and if so where?

Anything else you'd like to tell me about the https://joinfediverse.wiki is also appreciated.

Btw here are some of the things I'd like to change/restructure: https://joinfediverse.wiki/Join_the_Fediverse:Proposal_for_new_stucture
Some of it is a bit technical for a non-editor, but feel free to comment on that as well, if you like.

Thanks!

@weirdwriter The text elements are a partially hard to read. There are outdated signs or ornaments and there seems to be a monogram.
@weirdwriter Chalcography. Half profile of a whole cat. It looks huge, because it takes up almost the whole picture and there is a small quote-unquote gate in the background, that seems to be a small shaft, actually. Its eyes seem to be closed and it smells a leaf of a small plant, that is growing on the floor. The cat is grounded on the floor, with a posture that is relaxed, as well as alert. Behind the cat is a mouse and next to it a stone with an inscription. Also, the picture has a caption.
@cardboard @nash I see how the github issue went. However, i do think it makes a difference, that the cards do tend to appear independently of the app itself.

@kamikat Ok, I try to understand better, if it ist ok and helpful? Could you find time and energy to tidy the sewingroom as planed? What was the last time sewing went ok?
