@[email protected] just create space for a dualboot install (install linux in a different ssd/hdd if possible). Nowadays you get ssds for cheap. That way you dont need to remove your windows partition.
@singletona Did you try the flatpak version or the native steam package ?
If anything goes wrong with one, you can try out the other one without reinstalling the entire OS.
