On our hike at Purisma creek open space today we encountered ~100 banana slugs, including this pair. With their yin yang positioning, we’re pretty sure they were about to mate (more baby slugs! ​)
OMG: young owls hanging out on a branch over our driveway! Squeeee!  
Coworker found these while cleaning his home office; apparently from the OpenBSD kiosk at a USENIX conference back in the day… 
Met this big boy while pruning a (sadly neglected) cork oak
“Hey, what are you?”
“You smell good”
“Nom nom nom”
It was not a day to get the recipe right before putting 2/3 of it in the oven.

Spatula fungi, in both yellow and black. Neither should be used for stirring food on the stove.
