Deaths and Cases per day have both doubled in the United States over the past three weeks

This is despite the fact that 65% of all states (and Washington DC) are no longer reliably reporting COVID cases or deaths

Texas is currently experiencing the fastest growth in new cases of the entire World while South Carolina is second in the World in new deaths per day

@MolnarSteven OMG you are right. Thanks for pointing that out. I screwed up the average range in the spreadsheet

The chart is correct. The average deaths per months is not

And you are right, it's worse

I will update

4/Take away that ANY infection can be expected to produce blood clotting, which can lead to all kinds of problems

And that people dying of clotting from a SARS2 infection is "normal"

3/It just knows that the call is coming from inside the house

Did you get cut? Is there a virus? A bacteria? Break a bone?

Don't know

So the innate system reacts with every tool it has

It makes you shit your pants, in case it's in your gut

It makes you vomit, in case it's in your stomach

It makes you cough and sneeze, in case it's in your lungs

It produces scar tissue in case your skin is torn

It makes your blood clot, in case you are bleeding

It's an "all hands on deck" response

2/Understand that the innate system doesn't have a memory, unlike the adaptive system

But it is the front line.

It's also extremely effective. Our skin is an integral part of the innate immune system and blocks most bad stuff from ever even having a chance of getting inside our bodies

But sometimes stuff slips past the skin, like when you don't wear a mask.

When that happens, the innate system detects that there is something wrong

But it doesn't know what is wrong or even where it is

1/On clotting

We have two immune systems. One, called the "innate" immune system we inherited from our reptile ancestors

The other, called the "adaptive" immune system is where things like antibodies and immunity (as in I got chickenpox and am now immune) comes from

Clotting is a function of the innate immune system. It's one of its "tools"

Other tools of the innate immune system are:
* Vomiting
* Diarrhea
* Sneezing
* Coughing
* Scarring
* Fever

There have now been two sports journalists, in their 40s, to suddenly die in Qatar. As has happened before the media has launched a concerted effort to assure the public their deaths are not due to their previous COVID cases

In Qatar this is taking the form of speculating that it could be MERS, not COVID. This is ridiculous

Qatar has on average one MERS death a year. Two more would mean a 200% increase

It's COVID

@tadbithuman I don't know what happened (still getting the hang of this thing). Do you see it now?

@tadbithuman I cite the sources at the top of the graph. Deaths are taken from CDC's WONDER system using the ICD-10 codes on the graph

Cases are taken from the CDC's restricted case data, also cited on the graph

Before the pandemic, males aged 25-54 in the United States died from cardiovascular or respiratory diseases at a rate of 7,037 a month. Since the pandemic began that has risen to an average of 9,799 a month.

There is no doubt in my mind that these are COVID deaths that are not being attributed to COVID and that we are under-counting COVID deaths in the 25-54 male demographic by 2x
