Take one 60’s child of DC; add DC & Marvel comics of the time, Hanna-Barbara and Anime, Old-school R&B and soft rock…and add in a sketchbook. Slow bake for 50+ years occasionally removing from heat to stir in some hip-hop, Sci-Fi, Bruce Lee movies (LOVING “Warrior”), Sherlock Holmes and Donald Goines books, a Macintosh, and the Matrix. Also season with a love for artwork from Patrick Nagel, Richard Amsel, Drew Struzan, Overton Loyd, and Shusei Nagaoka. And a LOT of cartoonists.
#GameFromScratch BTW, it also works on a 2019 MBP with macOS Sonoma installed on it! Didn’t think it would…
#GameFromScratch Additionallly, it has the ability to import assets created in HTML5, mp4, mp3, jpg, and png (haven’t seen any actual mention of SVG in the tutorials yet) but have downloaded it to my M1 Mac mini running Sonoma and it appears to be working. This might be something you’ll want to check out. Hope this helps.
#GameFromScratch I’m an old designer—30+ years in the biz—and I used to create interactive desktop presentations for business meetings using Macromedia/Adobe Director and/or Flash. Tried using LiveCode community but it crapped when it got to embedding video. TilBuci does the job. Been reading up on it. First, it’s an Electron project that can—according to the YouTube vids—can export to either PWA, electron desktop app, or mobile app.
#GameFromScratch Mike, pulling your coat to a new open source software. I follow you on YouTube and am grateful for your reviews most recently on Graphite, Blender, and PixiEditor. Found this one on Reddit. It’s called TilBuci. Seems to have at least a year’s worth of tutorials behind it on YouTube. It also has a “com.br” domain indicating that it’s out of Brazil. Been watching tutorials on it since 8AM (it’s 12:23 PM at the time of this writing) and this thing is insane!
