Most People Don’t Need a “GenAi for Dummies” Book Anymore – EduGeek Journal

Sigh. I just don’t know how to explain it more to people that those of us that don’t like Ai actually do know how to use it and how it works. We don’t hate it because we are a bunch of dummies, and a new “GenAi for Dummies” guide is not going to change that. Or show us anything we don’t know.

Sometimes - especially when it involves racism, csam, transphobia, etc - things are worth being divided over.

This statement was linked to an ai driven course design idea called OELM, which itself misunderstands course design. But of course, ai is never “zero cost,” and OELM does not propose a zero cost solution anyways. So weird.
Saying that “course design costs should be zero” is a direct insult to the entire field of instructional design, as well as a massive misunderstanding of what course design should entail. Formulating a response….
