If I hadn't migrated yet, I would need to pay like 400% to DNSMadeEasy (4x of prepaid quota. I don't think I can afford this). That's a kind of growing pain, but Cloudflare is completely free for this...

This is an interesting case study. Since I am on mastodon.social, I cannot follow this person. This does align with me so I have no issues with that. But what if it doesn't? I will have to move to another instance to be able to follow him. I wonder if there's a way to still allow people to follow, but only pull the posts to their own timeline so it's still sort of considered not federated with the instance?
