PinePhone vs PinePhone Pro: Which should I buy? - sh.itjust.works

I’m wondering which is more free (as in freedom) so I can make the right choice. I’ve also heard people say the regular PinePhone is better than the Pro version. I am planning on using it as a daily driver. I understand it’s not perfect yet, but I’m dedicated to make it work, I don’t do much with my phone. I also just want to help support Linux-based phones and would like to see it become more popular in the future! I’m planning on dropping my Google Pixel w/ GrapheneOS for this.

I’ve been trying to get rid of my cellphone for awhile now. I switched to JMP.chat, I have Pidgin setup to make calls/texts, etc. I use Trisquel GNU/Linux with my Libreboot laptop, my boss is fine with it. My strategy looks something like this: - Use earpiece that’s connected via Bluetooth, have laptop read out notifications (notifications from Microsoft Teams, Thunderbird, etc.) - Put laptop into sleep mode, maybe use a script to put it into a special sleep mode to make sure I’m connected to WiFi while walking around warehouse so I can receive calls/texts timely. - Forward all notifications from Teams to my email, so that I’m not relying on the web-based version to be open. Any suggestions? TIA!

Hello, I want to buy a flip phone to reduce distractions and am planning on getting rid of my Pixel. I currently have Cheogram installed on my Pixel and want to forward calls/texts to my SIM phone number. I’m not sure if the current flip phones support Cheogram well (due to the small screen). Any help is appreciated.
