Remember the "golden ratio", ~1.618, the one that's supposed to be aesthetically perfect?
In fact, it's only the first in the series of "metallic ratios". There's the silver ratio (~2.414), the bronze ratio (~3.303), and infinitely many others.
For all metallic ratios, n(a + b)/a = a/b.
Golden: n = 1
Silver: n = 2
Bronze: n = 3
An approximation for the silver ratio is 169/70. Therefore, all paper currency should be 70mm by 169mm to maximize their aesthetics.
