Not only is our economy not getting any better (if anything, it's going to get worse), now we've got all these reactionary social policies that will inevitably cause mass suffering of - let me emphasize this - our fellow American citizens.
The logic isn't logic-ing. Why anyone would be at all optimistic about this administration baffles me.
Facebook is banning accounts that simply mention Linux 🐧⛔️
Most notably impacting DistroWatch who got their account locked: "Facebook's internal policy makers decided that Linux is malware and labeled groups associated with Linux as being 'cybersecurity threats.'

I decided to edit my latest blog post to hide the angry political rant towards the end behind a collapsible button. Reading back the post, I felt like the rant was out-of-place and didn't fit with the tone of the post, however, I didn't want to go back and delete it to make it seem like I was trying to cover it up. This is, of course, not to say I don't stand by what I said. I do, even if I think I should have given it more thought while writing it out.
TikTok's pushing of pro-Trump propaganda during the whole ban thing should make anyone who had a morsel of faith in the platform before (for some reason) immediately want to move away.
Even though the ban saga is over (supposedly...I have a feeling this won't be the last of it) I'd still urge anyone still using TikTok to get out ASAP before it becomes an even more explicit political propaganda machine. They've censored anti-China speech, they're probably gonna censor anti-Trump speech too.

Welp. The U.S. government finally did the thing they said they'd do for over four years now. I'm sure, by now, you've heard opinions on it from everyone and their dog, but if you want to add one more to that list, you can read my blog post I just published on the matter. Just a warning, towards the end, I do go on a bit of an angry political rant. It's only for the very last bit, though.
