There are going to be more and more of these lawsuits as the silent gen and boomers pass away. This case is a bit odd, since the named beneficiary is a sex worker, so he'll be judged for that; but likely the relatives left out of the will are going to be seen as money-grubbing, and not truly believing that their aunt had been manipulated.

My guess is the aunt had dementia and had a number of people taking advantage of her in her final years, like my mom did.

Court fight looms over $1M estate left to male escort | CBC News

The will of a deceased B.C. woman will be contested by an old friend, her closest living relatives and a male escort she hired who is approximately 54 years her junior.

"Unpeel new info about Donkey Kong Bananza!"

So, uh, cover it up? I already know nothing

I just caught Sando eating some wet food. Guess he'll live then.

Nobody wants the wet food or mushy kibble. I've managed to get Sando to have some squeeze tube treat but that's it. Spiegel even likes to have *some* of the canned food but he isn't interested either for some reason.

The litter robot says Sando's lost half a lb since Monday.

I've had to separate the cats to let Spiegel eat some dry kibble, because he's already at bird weight.

The cats are hanging out but Spiegel will hiss if Sando gets too close. Right now Spiegel has climbed inside a pile of clean sheets and has fallen asleep

The "computer music" classes in music school were some of my favourite. I loved coding up interesting sounding instruments, and I also loved that I could download Csound off dial-up internet and code it myself at home (this was 1998).

I'd make a change to my 2-minute piece, start up Csound's compiler, and then go have dinner, or a shower, because it could take half an hour to build the mono sound file on my pentium.

Good times.

Nobody wants to eat the canned food or the mushy kibble, so I guess my cats are gonna starve.

(Spiegel can still eat dry but Sando gets all indignant at any special treatment)

Wow, the creator of Csound has passed away https://cdm.link/barry-vercoe/
Barry Vercoe, who made coding sound accessible to all, has died - CDM Create Digital Music

Barry Vercoe, composer and music scientist, founded MIT's electronic music efforts and helped shape the Lab's efforts in digital synthesis and machine listening and learning. But his biggest impact came outside the academy: as the inventor of Csound, he took the original innovations of Max Mathews and made them accessible to everyone. The live coding scene that followed has transformed the practice of coding sound into a new form of musical performance.

Yeah the separation didn't last, Sando escaped. Spiegel thinks I've brought home a pod person/cat but he appreciates the entertainment value.

“AI bots that scrape the internet for training data are hammering the servers of libraries, archives, museums, and galleries, and are in some cases knocking their collections offline, according to a new survey published today”
