Found a good Chinese supermarket and stocked up. Red and white fermented tofu, chilli bean paste, potato starch, pickled chilli, tofu knots, mustard greens, preserved vegetable. Nothing tremendously unusual, but ingredients are getting harder to find as the fashion for Szechuan cooking fades.

Stir-fried eggs and tomatoes for lunch - excellent easy comfort food.

Today: lunch at Hmong Market. Chicken wings stuffed with cabbage and rice noodles, fresh Vietnamese-style spring rolls, and catfish steamed with fresh herbs. Then a go on the carousel in Como Park and a walk round the Conservatory.
