I've got quite a few hobbies, most of them maker-focused.
@caseyliss I've finally taken the plunge and cancelled my yearly subscription and turned off the service on my server. Only got a few "Is Plex down?" texts so far. I've disagreed with their direction for years now, it feels good to finally get off of their platform before enshittification fully envelops this service too.
@Impossible_PhD My dad participated in a couple different studies for prostate cancer from 2007-2010, before ultimately passing in September '10. Today, prostate cancer is more detectable, and more easily treatable.
It's never fair. It's never easy. And I'm sorry you had to go through this, too. Some day, hopefully, this form of suffering will be eradicated, and we can all breathe a big sigh of relief.
I also miss my dad.
@chgowiz I snagged a doe in the second rifle season this year. Unfortunately, she tested positive for CWD. This is my land, so it's my responsibility to start reducing numbers and hopefully reduce the chance of continuing to spread CWD. I was looking forward to the venison, too...

@crazyeddie @sundogplanets 35 quarts is 4.375 pecks. Assuming the professor used quart jars, anyway.
@sundogplanets We made 34qt this year of my grandma's recipe, only we swapped out alum for CaCl. I happened to have a pound of CaCl left over from brewing so it worked out great.
