It’s a faintly (at least) ridiculous ritual, but I’ve taken to standing in the garden at twilight each night, just to watch a group of bats from next door’s loft darting around in our garden. They’re incredibly nimble little things in the air, and their flight is so utterly different to a bird’s.

Quick April 1 reminder that today is the one and only day of the year you need to fact check anything you might read on the internet.
I'm delighted to be able to say that the first 13 episodes of Series 2 of #Theodosia are up on BBC iPlayer. Tributes due to our fabulous lead writer Joe, to my wonderful fellow writers and to all at Cottonwood and on the production team. It was a joy to write and story edit and I hope everyone has as much fun watching it as we had making it.
