Ever had a component on your website break depending on whether the web browser was open in an external monitor? 🤯

That's exactly what happened to someone in my team. We had a very interesting time working out the root cause. Here's a blog post. https://www.joshtumath.uk/posts/2024-11-08-how-a-bbc-navigation-bar-component-broke-depending-on-which-external-monitor-it-was-on/

DON'T trade in your device with Google if you are in the UK. They use PCS Wireless and they royally messed up my perfectly working Pixel Fold, completely destroyed the inner screen during inspection and they simply marked the trade in as unsuccessful due to damaged screen. 0 value and can't even sell it now
Who won the Taskmaster live experience and has two thumbs? This guy 👍 👍

Looking for a dev to help lead Mammoth. Needs passion for user experience & fedi, ideally has played a key role in end user app already. Codebase is in Swift + UIKit but we are flexible, want to talk to visionary devs. $5,000/mo, fully open source, AGPL. Can be a (major!) side hustle. HMU at bdecrem on g mail or bartdecrem on discord.
TIL that context receivers are only available jvm for #kotlin and cannot be used in #kmp :(
