I love that we now have a proper Wong's Scottish Meat Pies situation in Thunder Bay, where an an excellent Indian restaurant has taken over the former site of a Cajun restaurant but kept the name and giant highway sign for "Beaux Daddy's" up because it's a local landmark.
basically only go to Tim Hortons when I'm driving across the province for work, and it never ceases to amaze/depress me that the lifehack of "bypass the mile-long drive-thru line by just parking and going inside to order immediately" always works.

Talaan is bed-tousled and half-dressed astride a yellow mare, her hair a tangled mane behind her (how many times has Eefa combed that hair, gently, in the glow of the fire?), her robe fallen open to the chest (the laundry Eefa washed the previous day, folded with lavender and cloves). Her feet are bare. She does not seem to feel the white-toothed wind nipping at her flesh.
