The January 6 committee has released an introduction to its final report. It's a devastating indictment of Trump, citing him as the "central cause" of the 1/6 riot and depicting him as a conspirator who mounted multiple (possibly illegal) plots to overthrow the 2020 election to grab power. Here's his legacy (so far): He tried to break the American republic, and, fortunately, he failed. Please read/boost/share/like.

January 6 report presents a devastating case against Trump

He was the "central cause" of the riot and mounted multiple plots to overthrow democracy.

Mother Jones

There were three men came out of the West
Three kings both great and high
And they have sworn a solemn oath
John Mastodon must die.

They took a tank and ran him down
With bullets in his head
And they have sworn a solemn oath
John Mastodon was dead

But when the Spring came kindly on
And showers began to fall
John Mastodon got up again
And did surprise them all...

So this is my second proper day of Mastodon.

Boost if you are staying. Are you happy here? Reply to boost your account. šŸ––

Hello! Very much looking forward to starting a new chapter here. Browsing through an old box in the garage just now, I found these, and for some reason I thought it would make an appropriate first post. My 1990's computing history.
A huge thank you to my Twitter followers who have now joined me on Mastodon. It is daunting trying to rebuild a community that has been my daily conversation for over 10 years, but I am not letting Doofus ruin this for us, dagnabbit.
EDIT: DO NOT BOOST!

This post is nearly a year old, and boosting will simply spread misinformation. Mastodon now has substantially more funding, and has enough scale to handle its many users.

I would delete this post but my server is not letting me so I'm editing this to reflect that I wish for you to NOT BOOST!

Right now Mastodon is only receiving appr. $21,000/month through Patreon.

This is not enough to handle the 1 million new accounts that will be made this week.

Currently, only 4,720 patrons are donating to Mastodon.

However, if everyone chips in $2/month, this will ensure the continued survival of Mastodon!
