It is also my daughters name. From the first time I, as a young man, thought seriously about having children that name had been with me. As an older man expecting a child with my wife I came to have a reason for the name. This is the story (if you’ve never heard it) of how my daughter gets her name.

Are we supposed to ignore that people knew it was going to happen? That the football coach told the players to stay away (he was a player)? I really want to know what he means by he was just curious.

Decades ago, the US signed an agreement with the Cherokee Nation that would provide them a delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives. Up to now, that has not happened.

Today the House Rules Committee is holding a hearing at 10 a.m. on the "legal and procedural factors" relating to seating a delegate.
