DDHQ called it for Mamdani. I know they tend to be pretty trigger-happy with their projections, but this can only be good news.
There is a part of me that is just inclined to believe we can't have nice things anymore (especially after the trauma of 2024), but another part of me just wants to celebrate one of the few bits of good news that's come through to me in this historically awful year.
Now, do I live in NYC or know anyone who does? No! But I'll take what I can get, thank you very much.
Been mostly tapped out of online stuff for a little while now (without getting too deep into it, it's mainly mental health & real life stuff...plus the horrors of everything happening in the world), but coming back in to say this.
If there was even an iota of doubt that this man is not just *in* the Epstein Files, but has his name written all over them, that should be evicerated by now. Even the most diehard Trumpheads are starting to see what's going on. If the files cleared him, he'd have released them an hour after taking office.
The best time to release the Epstein Files was in 2019. The second best time is now. (Not gonna happen until at least 2029, but we can only hope)
Looking through this poster, it's concerning how many of these apply to the United States right now.
I could easily see nine of the fourteen listed here applying to the current administration, and there's a case to be made that that number's probably higher. That number is also probably going to get higher as the months go on.
I know all this doomerism isn't good for me, but straight-up, it's hard to keep positive right now. I'm a straight, white man - the most protected group by far - and I still feel constant existential dread whenever I even think about what's happening in the world right now. I can't even imagine what everyone else is thinking.
Elon's hand gesture doesn't seem like such a mistake now, does it?
