I ❤ Star Trek, every incarnation of it. Period. Don't try to read any negativity in my posts - it's simply not there.

The graphic of Peliar Zel II and its two moons, seen in the Observation Lounge in #StarTrekTNG's "The Host"⬅️ has been modified slightly for the remastering: the graphic now features additional grid lines. Also notice the 40274, for a #TNG season 4 graphic (the last digit counts).
Like all of the Pelian costumes from #StarTrekTNG's "The Host"⬅️, Lathal Bine's costume was also later re-used on #StarTrekDS9, here in "A Man Alone"↗️. It appeared like that again in "The Maquis I"↗️ and was then seen, with a shortened hat, in "Way of the Warrior"➡️ and "One Little Ship"↘️.
In #StarTrekTOS' "By Any Other Name", Tomar is only seen eating two of the yellow colourful food cubes / pieces. If you look closely, they differ in colour from the most of the"regular" yellow pieces on the plate. Tomorrow I will begin covering all the booze he drinks with Scotty in the episode! :-)
In season 1 and very early season 2 of #StarTrekTNG, the main viewscreen did not yet have a faux 3-D effect where different footage was filmed for frontal shots and side shots of the viewscreen: "When the Bough Breaks", "Home Soil", "Heart of Glory", "The Child" (top to bottom). 🧵 1/3
This changed with the #StarTrekTNG season 2 episode "Samaritan Snare" (top), where two different shots were filmed of Geordi and the Pakleds. One from the front and one from the side. This technique to convey 3D was also used in "The Emissary", "The Enemy" and "The Vengeance Factor". 2/3
The faux 3D main viewscreen shots also appeared in later #StarTrekTNG season 3 and season 4 episodes, like "The Most Toys", "Ménage à Troi", "Data's Day" and "The Host" )top to bottom), the last time it was seen in season 4. More will follow in later seasons and later posts. 3/3
The scenic backdrop / painted set extension seen aboard the Spaceball 1 / Mega Maid ship in "Spaceballs" (first pic, second pic ↘️) was re-used twice on #StarTrekTNG: On Mordan IV in "Too Short a Season"↙️ and on Turkana IV in "Legacy"⬆️, in both cases to extend the length of subterranean tunnels. :-)
@thomas_klopf You got it! :-)
I love how we can see the red foliage of the trees on Peliar Zel II in the background of this main viewscreen shot with Leka Trion in #StarTrekTNG's "The Host". It's a small detail that makes the planet seem more alien...or it is just autumn on the planet. ;-)
@DanielMReck @AwattoAnalog Always a good choice to rewatch TNG! :-)
