Elon in America, England and Germany. This fucker, Sterin, in France.

All the billionaires need to go. Nationalize all wealth of 1 billion and more.

The Billionaire Funding France’s Far Right

Pierre-Édouard Stérin is financing projects to make France less Muslim, more Catholic and more capitalist. He says his program has trained thousands running for municipal office on Sunday.

The New York Times

Once again the New York Times picks the path of evil. My suspicion is that they are blocking the Internet Archive so future generations don't see how pro Trump, pro Israel, pro Epstein they are.

Blocking the Internet Archive Won’t Stop AI, But It Will Erase the Web’s Historical Record

Imagine a newspaper publisher announcing it will no longer allow libraries to keep copies of its paper. That’s effectively what’s begun happening online in the last few months. The Internet Archive—the world’s largest digital library—has preserved newspapers since it went online in the mid-1990s....

Great overview of the free speech issues in the Afroman case

💯 worth watching in full.

And, once again in America, the best current events journalists are the "comedians".

There is no alternative. It will happen in your and mine lifetime (I think we're roughly the same age) but it won't happen in the short term. Think between 1 and 2 decades with things getting steadily worse from now until then.

One of the best things about spending a year doing street level activism was resetting my beliefs about the "system" and what people need and how close to the edge everyone is.

I can attest to what Jeff is saying -- people don't have any savings, they have no buffer. And it is isn't their fault. They aren't spending frivolously. The reason there hasn't been a minimum wage hike in decades is that money goes to the 1%.

The transfer of wealth to the top in America is utterly criminal.

The worst thing about progressives ignoring problems with Big Tech, not even trying alternatives, is that eventually, when the fascists have ripped the last of our freedoms from us and we're left with no rights at all, those scabs still won't see that they could have made a difference.

It is amazing to me how Marc Andressen ignores the FACT that his very existence as a tech kingpin came from GOVERNMENT SPENDING.

Marc got his start in tech working at NCSA (National Center for Supercomputing Applications) where Mosaic was created.

If not for government spending, no Mosaic then no Netscape and NO MARC ANDRESSEN.

And now this chud takes a pro trump, nuke federal spending perspective.

Of course he has no interiority -- or he has to face the fact that he isn't an Ayn Rand hero.

My last toot reminds me - anyone else on #Codeberg? Just migrated from #Github and feeling lonely, wondering where all the other cool people are?
