Another gif from reto3d - this time I moved the frames around, this seems to enhance the effect immensely (as opposed to just plopping the scanned frames into gimp)
Designed and printed a tripod mount for my opentheremin (I got it second-hand, so it came without one). It's a bit wobbly, but the tripod is intended for tiny light things like gopro and not theremins. The case I printed earlier - in shitty red PLA that is already slightly delaminating. Used kapton tape for insulation because I lost my usual electric tape somewhere.
I think the tripod is necessary - the theremin is a bit too light and unwieldy if you just plop it on a table. And also, being a theremin, it catches electrical interference from every damn thing nearby, so it's best to keep it in the middle of the room.
