I felt this way when I first became a sysadmin because I thought I had to learn everything to do my job. As time went by I realized it’s impossible to know everything and my job is to be an expert at the specific technology required by my company. Eventually I had touched / modified / configured every piece of technology in our stack and I did have the sense that I knew what I was doing and was the master of my environment.
