I've been teaching myself shaders lately.
An ORM is most useful when it removes busy work and scaffolding. It's purpose shouldn't be to obfuscate the query that you're producing.

The top google result for "Why use an ORM?" is "[an ORM] frees the programmer from having to understand complex SQL statements." My god man, if willful ignorance is your goal, I guess.

"I learned this tool so that I don't have to use this other, nearly universal tool."

Most of my ex-coworkers are still lost in the crypto mines, erroneously believing that a novel technology necessitates important problems to solve.
