Congratulations to Khrissie who gave herself a belated Christmas present in the form of passing her driving test this lunchtime.
Well done Khrissie, now you can get yourself down to your allotment whenever you choose to.
Sadly I’ve mentioned this so many times over the years, the difference between dogs and cats as working animals is what lies behind the rationale when it comes to reporting collisions with them on our roads, avoidance is still the better option
Following recent trials at 20 test centres, the DVSA has announced today that it will be implementing a number of changes to the driving test from next Monday, 24/11/25. These include the type of roads and areas used, the number of stops conducted, the frequency of emergency stops. Further details can be found in the following article:

Congratulations to Courtney who passed her driving test earlier today incurring just a couple of faults on her first attempt at it. Well done Courtney, happy motoring
The UK Government is considering several changes to motoring legislation in order to reduce the number of fatalities and injuries on our roads.
These include compulsory eye sight checks for over 70’s, instead of requiring drivers to self report any eye condition to the DVLA; reducing the drink drive alcohol limit by over 1/3; imposing points for drivers whose passengers aren’t wearing seatbelts.
Proposals will be published later this year.
The DVSA has announced that from early 2026, it will introduce first aid questions to the theory test regarding CPR and the use of defibrillators.
As a life saving skill, should this be learnt for the theory test or taught in schools though?
Congratulations to Henry on passing his driving test on his first attempt earlier today. Well done Henry, lots of hard work and effort paid off. Hope you eventually find yourself a car to get around in.
