@tshepang Figma is not a friend to open source and has no motivation to keep developing Payload as a general tool that doesn't grow their closed ecosystem. My guess is that they'll swallow up the Payload team into their Figma Sites project and that Payload will either get re-licensed as BSL, partitioned up as "open core", or become something we hardly recognize in 3 years. Hope I'm wrong.
