This may be my new home ...time will tell. Looking like it may be much sooner than expected. #TwitterMigration #AusTwitter #auspol

Using the same handle @franknfamily to hopefully reconnect with as many of my wonderful followers also abandoning a sinking ship and of course to welcome new acquaintances.

I went to a live GB News show (yes, really) and wrote about it https://amyfallon.substack.com/p/get-ready-britain-here-we-go-i-went

(Think Sky After Dark, Fox etc).

"Get ready Britain, here we go…" I went to watch a live GB News show.

For a crowd who aren't the biggest fans of migrants, no one tried to deport me. News that's just close to entertainment, as they claim, or something more?

Why does it take a *UK-based* watchdog to reveal this about the Australian national broadcaster? Was no one in Australia looking into it?

This is how to leave a legacy

In just a week, I lost two friends who I knew from Uganda. Both women, who were humanitarians, showed me that you can walk the talk on faith, and that you can also advocate and be kind.

Last week I lost two friends who I knew from my time in Uganda. Both were amazing women who were humanitarians and human rights activists https://amyfallon.substack.com/p/this-is-how-to-leave-a-legacy

I wrote about how appallingly we’re treated as #freelancers these days (really I think any one who is self-employed may relate, not just media). Did put some nice pics with it #journalists #journalism #work

Please stop ghosting, and pay us on time. How the treatment of freelancers has now hit rock bottom in 2025.

Sadly manners, ethics and kindness have all but disappeared. Yet do to others as you would have them do to you at all times, including any one who is self-employed,is a good mantra to go by.

In the past week, I’ve been to two Substack meetups and been on one Substack live show with someone else who I met from it. It’s a lovely community online too https://amyfallon.substack.com/p/from-tweetups-to-sweet-ups-making
From #tweetups to sweet (?) ups. Making IRL friends via Substack!

This week I went to and partook in three (three!) Substack-related events!
