I have to be trained, licensed, & tested to drive a vehicle in most (all?) states in the USA.
For most states in the USA I can acquire a gun (type dependent) without any training, licensing, or testing.
I have to be more vetted to adopt a dog than to acquire a gun in most states in the USA.
I own several guns (various types). I am more than willing to give up some of them, and to be vetted, trained, tested & licensed if all states in the USA would require the same.
