@ThatGuySy The drawback to Cakewalk is that it's activationware, and if the current org behind it goes poof like the last one, it will become uninstallable.
The drawback to Ardour (and thus Harrison Mixbus) is that it is very fussy about VST IDs, and will ignore instruments with duplicate numbers: most of my favorites.
LMMS is a bit limited compared to either, but that doesn't seem to stop its users.
I use REAPER, but if I hadn't found a usable visual theme I would probably be on Ardour.
