BP suffers investor rebellion at first AGM since climate strategy U-turn.
Nearly a quarter of shareholders voted against the chair after BP’s decision to scrap its climate targets. A campaign initiated by Follow This keeps ESG in the board room.
For the first time since 2016, shareholder collective Follow This is refraining from submitting climate resolutions to major oil companies. Due to geopolitical tensions and legal risks, investors are expected to hesitate in casting their votes.
