Hyatt points are intrinsically valuable at >= 1.7c/pt but often deliver more than 2.5c/pt.

If your flight is cancelled by the airline due to weather, put any expenses incurred during the cancellation on your card, and save the receipts!
You can file a claim and have your hotel stay & meals reimbursed!

These usually offer no trip protections - so the airline can sell you their own “trip insurance" from Allianz at checkout.
Use a travel card like the #ChaseSapphirePreferred, the #AmexPlatinum or the #BiltMastercard instead of the airline’s cobranded card.
They’ll reimburse expenses for trip cancellations or interruptions for qualified reasons!
