Joe won't swallow what Barnabas offers, Julia doesn't swallow what Barnabas says and Roger doesn't swallow Elizabeth's fears. There's a pair of repetitive resolutions and Mrs Johnson gets to beat Joe off. There's still only one place to hide in Collinsport.

Eve gets turned down by the ex, Nicholas gets turned down due to an ex, and Adam doesn't accept he was turned down by the ex murderer. Harry, Collinsport's weak link, is bottom of the believability chart and topless Joe can't keep Barnabas in the bedroom.

Adam gets very deep over the meaning of words and has grown so much that he can now disappoint a woman using just a few of them. Eve meets an old flame, Jeff gives a plot recap, and Elizabeth gives a very melodramatic performance. And Nicholas is a slapper.

Adam actually has pyjamas! Given his back story... the makeup team should have put scars in certain places as he was remarkably mark free. The Blue Whale can't afford customers, good music or a speaking barman. There are blue screen booboos and Joe byebyes.

According to the opening voice, it'll be the most terrifying moment of Barnabas' life. Again. It's certainly the most throaty 25 mins of Julia's life! Bravely, a map is shown (sadly not of Collinwood) and Angelique twice more leaves her mark on things. Greedy

Collinwood's least interesting character, Harry, turns up to try and blackmail people (and deliver lines excruciatingly painfully). Nicholas puts his powers to good use, as do the FX department. And Adam's character growth goes from strength to strength.
Mastodon only comment. Adam's character growth is handled REALLY well. Whereas I still struggle to accept Barnabas as a "hero", my sympathy for Adam grows with every episode and his difficulty handling Eve is heartbreaking. A real shame that we didn't get more of his story in the audios.

So Angelique seemingly bit off more than she could chew, caught mid nibble by a deranged Maggie. It's a superb performance by Joe though. And Julia starts putting things together with only marginally more success than putting Adam together with Eve. Ooops.
Mastodon only comment. And I am so so sorry for this but... Maggie gives a fantastic speech about going on a hunger strike, how it's the only thing she can do and it is powerful it is inspiring right up till she addresses her captor and says "I ain't going to eat willie." And childishly, I laughed.

Eve of destruction! Though the nature of Eve's body is still baffling as the script suggests she was assembled, but there's zero sign of it. Adam's makeup is particularly vivid which doesn't help. And the words "evil incarnate" are followed by David's return.
