@malwareminigun Because poor smartphone makers wouldn't be able to advertise the new USB spec without actually spending money making their product better. (don't forget to add to the fact that display out support is optional in USB4 :)))))) )
@sven but why though... if they want USB, spend the likely cents to make it properly, otherwise, develop your own standard. just make usb naming make sense
