Since mastodon.cloud might be discontinuing, and I'm new here, I guess I'll just move to some place that seems more stable. @finity

My ddWRT router is having trouble, time to replace. I use several of the advanced features, like OpenVPN. Keeping the software updated without bricking the device is a regular issue.

I'm considering separating this functionality - running the services on a Pi and getting a wifi router that focuses on wifi and routing.

This isn't just an issue where I live (the US), and the Atlantic article talks about what some other countries are doing too.

If we haven't taken full advantage of it this time around, we will get another chance this fall.

Have we leveraged coronavirus slowdown to fix our infrastructure? NY subway trains need new signaling, roads and bridges need fixes, this is a great time to dig up and install water mains... Folks need jobs.

My corporate work asked for a “funny picture of your pet”. So I sent them a picture of Kiki, my sourdough starter, who enjoys being fed and taking long walks. My boss followed up with me to make sure I was doing ok.
@eleeshing I liked your #100DaysToOffload post today. Having tried to talk to folks about new tech like this before, sometimes surprisingly the person I'm talking to turns out to find it interesting. Keep it up. Why not.
