@deaduncledave It's a long story - I sold it to him when I got my driver's license, since I figured I needed to actually use my license, and my BIL didn't have a car and needed to get around at college - but now he has a car! he took pretty good care of my scoot, though, and loved her as much as I do, so it wasn't quite so bad - I got to ride her every now and then, which was nice, and now I've got her back!
So, I think I'm gonna migrate my main Mastodon account over to kitty.town - you can follow me over there as @fiercebun (I will probably go on a mass adding spree over there shortly)
@deaduncledave
It's good that you'll get to ride again soon! I didn't ride for a year (while my brother in law had my scooter), and I missed it so much. I didn't realize how miserable I was with the ability to go riding until my brother in law gave me back my scoot - I just about cried.
lifeposting is good. just came out to your mum? toot that shit, I'll boost that shit. failed a job interview? toot that shit, I'll offer love and support. going to taco bell later? Toot. That. Shit.
Partner gave me one of the three original Game Boys we found stashed away in a box during our afternoon of nerding out, yaaay! It still works, and I am totally gonna spend a stupid amount of time playing Tetris and Legend of Zelda
Aaaand home from partner's house. We had no internet for half the day, so we spent the afternoon like it was 1989 and played Nintendo games. (Well, more like spent a lot of time cleaning NES cartridges and cursing at the NES, and then shouting excitedly when Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt finally friggin' worked, haha)

@deaduncledave Aw, that's a bummer that your Kymco got stolen! I've always been terrified of my scooter (a 2014 Buddy 50) getting stolen, but I've had her for about five years now, and aside from some drunk fratboys knocking her over when my brother-in-law had her for a bit, she's been fine!

And I do have a ham radio license, but I'm only a technician - gotta get upgraded to general soon!

@Argentlynn
I started out on a Honda - a little red Metropolitan, I loved it until I realized that 2-stroke scooters are way zippier than 4-strokes like the Metro, heh - and that's when I got my pretty green Buddy.

Been getting some good snuggles from this guy, Jack, who's pretty much my cat Steve's brother from another mother.
