Is there a name for the technique some people use when you ask them a specific question and they respond with a statement that has nothing to do with the original question, but the statement is something few people would ever disagree with?
Wish me luck.
I admit I am super excited that they are replaying all of the Harry Potter movies at the theater over the next few weekends.
I was going through the material "Quantum Mechanics for Everyone" on edX. The professor starting speaking about math phobia and how we accept that people can be afraid of math. I work on projects that involve software, electrical, and mechanical engineering. I still run into cases where people shut down when you show an equation in a meeting.
I can't believe guns are legal in California but nunchucks aren't. something like 4 Americans a year get shot by their *dog*. I have yet to hear of a dog nunchucking a guy to death. that would have to be one badass dog
I need a personal project as a creative outlet but last time I tried that I made it tangentially related to my work and now it's my job
@ffracture GIMP as a thing that let's me use all the features of the image editing software from Python. Basically I have photos I have taken and fractals I have captured and blend them together. There are 3 different processes, one of the processes is choosen at random. One process draws black and white difference stars, fractal and photo masked and mixed, and plasma with drawings of random trees and Ray's that look like pac man face down because the degrees are rounded, https://github.com/J216/gimp_be

My therapist told me "write letters to the people you hate and then burn them." I did that, but now I don't know what to do with the letters.
I am excited to go to PAX tomorrow with 2 of the kids. I hope they ditch me so I can go to as many developer talks as I can.
