So, I got a 3D printer a few months ago. Haven't done alot with it, since I'm pretty green with the whole thing - but I got enough of my act together to finish my first real project.

Well, I did it! White filament was included with the printer when I got it, but for the other color....well...I had some rainbow filament? And since it's Pride Month, I decided to go with that! So, say hello to my new Chess set, "Heteronormativity vs The Gay Agenda"!

So, which sneaker meme do you think is better? My best friend had the base idea, and I fleshed it out and put them together.

Shame I can't figure out a variation on "Don't Tread On My Blue Suede Shoes" or somesuch.

I do feel bad about not posting alot here…..but I never posted alot to the BirdSite, so I don’t feel THAT bad.
I made this!
Update: the watchband turned out great! VERY subtle purple-blue-green chevrons with gold edges, surrounded by large, silver rings. Not too tight...but the clasp is tough to use one-handed. Worth it, though!

Learning a new maille pattern! It's not a basic weave, and I'm upping the difficulty level by working in REALLY SMALL rings.

But the initial test piece looks good - now to build a piece using colored rings! Will post more pics of my #ChainMaille !

My Mastery Project:

A full backgammon board made of chain maille. 11,441 rings compose the board itself, 18g 1/4" rings of five different colors. The pieces are 16g 1/4" box chains in blue and gold. The chain on the left is anchored to the board, and metal rods are in the ends. String the pieces on the anchored chain, and one may ROLL UP the board to carry it. Dice Rings (in the center) mean that EVERYthing is made of rings.

A Lit Bottle

An empty wine bottle with the bottom cut off (not as easy as it sounds, I assure you). European 4-in-1 band on top and bottom, sides are a full, proper Byzantine Web.

A small 'door' was affixed to the bottom, with an electric tealight candle inside. The light shines through the maille, leaving distinct shadows on the wall.

PROJECT CHANDELIER: Two large, horizontal hoops held in place with maille. Suspended from them are various dreamcatchers.

In the center: The 357. A 3" dreamcatcher inside of a 5" dreamcatcher inside of a 7" dreamcatcher.

BOTTLES: Empty, full, or cut open.
