I have not mowed lawns as an adult, but I do employ a lawn mowing company (I’m in the US Midwest). As a consumer, it wouldn’t bother me if someone asked to use my outdoor electrical outlets to mow my lawn. It wouldn’t even bother me for them to ask to use my personal push mower to mow my lawn. Although I appreciate the edging my current company does, it isn’t something I expect or need from the service, either.

In short, I don’t think it’s a stupid idea if you’re up for it. Other comments have good things to think about, especially transporting the mower, and possibly using you CS skills to build your own small website, but there shouldn’t be anything holding you back if you want to do this. Also, landscaping companies do pretty well, so if you like it, you might even be able to make it your new career.

Adding half a bag of butterscotch chips sprinkled on the top of box brownie mix. I get tons of compliments like it’s the best thing in the world (and it is arguably much better than without the butterscotch).
