In the profile settings (direct from website browser, not app or app affiliate) it states “show bot account” and then right above it it says “bot accounts” with check marks for each much how we select if we want to see nsfw posts. Now that the background is in place……what does checking the box for “show bot accounts” and “bot accounts” do? I’m guessing this is relating to yt.news posts where it’s almost seeming to scrape info from one source as it’s periodically updated and have seen mention of other bots in users posts. I looked at the settings on lemmy.world, assuming settings are consistent across instances for user profiles, if incorrect I apologize ahead of time. I also attempted to search for what I thought the title of posts would be but haven’t figured out how to effectively search in specific instances with specific keywords, but was planning on doing a seperate post for that to help others in the future

This post is now showing beneath the original one referenced when I sort by new (using wefwef.app) cannot confirm if happening in other places.
