Mastodon 推出新项目 Fediscovery，目标是成为一个去中心化的、插件式的、跨ActivityPub平台的、隐私友好的搜索协议（服务），帮助中小型实例发现更多内容。
简单点说就是如果你所在的站点人不是很多，觉得很冷清没啥可看的内容，或者你经常担心自己错过外站的精彩内容（比如为了看更多站点注册很多账号），那么这个项目会很好地解决你的痛点。
具体来说，这个项目将实现：（1）一种向联邦宇宙实例添加“内容来源”的通用方法，用于搜索、发现和其它目的。 （2）在服务器间实现“内容来源”通信的协议。

Nobody seems to have noticed it but the Mastodon project have been granted funding by @[email protected] in the Entrust fund. This is amazing, but the best part is that this funding is targeted at implementing… Quote Posts 🎉 This effort started several months ago and we already did some preliminary work, but this will be a big feature for our next 4.4 version. This funding will cover the ActivityPub work, as well as backend, web frontend and official mobile app implementation.
The uproar over the #mastodon/ #bluesky / #blueskybridge thing is confusing to me.
The bridge only works on posts that are set to public.
By setting your posts to public, you've already explicitly allowed your posts to be available to the open internet, as well as any Mastodon instance that your instance hasn't defederated w/.
In other words, when posts are set to public, Mastodon default federates your stuff to all instances in "opt-out" mode. How is the bridge meaningfully different?

Takahē is an ActivityPub server designed for efficient use on small- to medium-size installations, and which allows you to host multiple domains on the same infrastructure. It’s currently in an beta state, meaning most things work and it can talk to most of the Fediverse, but there’s still some polish and features left to add.
