New PHP Architect day!

More and more I’ve begun to really appreciate slowing down, leaving my cell phone and computer in my office and reading something physical. It’s so awesome I can still get a tech magazine with code listings.

Beautiful day for a hike on university mountain.
Lunch time!
Leftover homemade Japanese style curry is the best.
Fish!
I’ve been having a blast this season on a dual sport motorcycle. It’s been so nice to explore the back roads and mountains here in the Bitterroot valley and beyond. Don’t want the season to end!
Fun fact, I’m related to Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis & Clarke expedition. For some reason ever since I moved out west I find myself on their historical trail. It’s mixed emotions grappling with my own family history of colonialism and slavery. I honestly wish I could do more to honor the stories and culture of the indigenous communities of where I am so fortunate to live.
Recently took up motorcycling and really enjoyed my trip down some forest roads last weekend.
Peaceful evening walk along the Bitterroot River.

Just got done with this years PHP[tek] and it was an amazing time. Learned so much about what it takes to build good software and great teams.

It’s really inspiring to keep going back to conferences every year and network. Getting to know and spend time with the community is such a joy.

The work done to foster community and connect in person is so valuable and my deepest gratitude goes out to the organizers.

Really makes me want to do more to share my voice and experience with others.

Everything is temporary, ownership is really just being a good steward and doing the best you can with what you have right now. #phptek
