@eregon Is it possible to compile Ruby directly to machine code or is it impossible without node rewriting that GraalVM does?

@postmodern Unfortunately I think this was inevitable. There were way too many companies gobbling up VC money for the sake of growth but not profitability.
This is why I was always a fan of bootstrapped/profitable companies, because they know how to use the money wisely. IMO this crash will eventually lead to people building more profitable businesses.

@postmodern Well Microsoft owns them both so I don't think it'll happen.
Matz spent so much time and effort coming up with an elegant syntax for Ruby, then I go ahead and write a Ruby program in just C
